HOME SWEET SALON

At present, Charlie Condou's character Marcus Dent and his pseudo family, live in a small flat opposite the Rovers Return Inn. The address is 2a Coronation Street, above Audrey's hair dressing salon.

The flat's residents are:

Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie)

Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) 

Liam Connor Jr (currently played by Charlie Wrenshall)

In the picture below you can see how the flat is very small with hardly enough room to swing a cat let alone a curling wand! The bus stop sign is located on the corner of Rosumund and Coronation Street and Marcus and family would be able to see it from their windows above.

In a recent episode of Corrie, Marcus and Maria have asked Audrey for some modernisation and repairs for their flat which just happens to nicely coincide with some major renovations planned for Corrie's sets. The show's interior sets and exterior location are all being modified this year - in some cases rooms will be enlarged slightly or rearranged to allow better camera angles. The mock-up town of Weatherfield has been moved to a new location at Trafford Wharf, Salford, Manchester.

Here is the new Weatherfield set under construction:

Except for the occasional background noise of seagulls and ship horns, all will be much the same for the exterior shooting on the relocated set.

THE WYNNE FAMILY OF CORRIE
Kieran Wynne's storage and haulage company is never explained on Coronation Street.

The wooden doors showing the name of the family business crop up every so often behind the main action but we know very little about the Wynnes....or do we?

I suspect the Wynne family (my namesakes), live in the houses near Victoria Court flats. They lead very quiet lives after their son Tom emigrated to Australia. The next picture shows the Weatherfield set mid-construction with the Victoria Court flats being built at the end of the street just past Elliott's butchery and the alleged "Wynne" house.

Charlie Condou and family joined a crowd of VIP Tickety Toc toy testers yesterday at Hamley's of Regent Street London. Tickety Toc is a TV pre school show. In every episode, inseparable heroes Tommy & Tallulah race against the clock to make Chime Time happen in Tickety Town!
