SHORT AND SWEET

THIS AUTUMN, TODD WILL FORCE MARCUS TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HIM AND MARIA!

Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) will be entangled in a bizarre love triangle on his dramatic return to Coronation Street, and soap bosses are hoping his efforts to steal Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) away from Maria Connor  (Samia Ghadie) will have viewers on the edge of their sofas. Marcus embarked on a surprise romance with Maria last year, despite having always identified himself as a gay man. But the return of Eileen Grimshaw’s prodigal son, played by Bruno Langley, will test his confused sexuality and force him to choose between Todd and his pretty hairdresser girlfriend. Marcus actor Charlie, 40, hinted earlier this year there could be trouble ahead for his relationship with Maria, saying in an interview: “At the moment, Maria and I are still very much together. I don’t see an end to it at the moment, but there are definitely going to be big dramas ahead, and they’re all going to be because of this issue – the fact that Marcus is a gay man. I think this is going to keep rearing its head.” - The Mirror.

STARS TURN OUT FOR PRIDE OF BRITAIN
Tuesday, Oct 8 2013
By Siobhan Wykes
Get your tissues ready! It's the annual Pride of Britain Awards tonight and trust us, you will cry. The stars – and Best – were out in force to support the 15th year of these amazing awards, and even the PM turned up to honour the unsung heroes that make this country great.
X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger was left laughing when meningitis survivor, six-year-old Harley Lane looked horrified when she offered to kiss him. 'Noooo,' he shouted, backing away towards the show's host Carol Vorderman. 'Mummy. Come and get me,' he shouted as Nicole moved towards his cheek. Nicole was accompanied by X Factor judge Louis Walsh and Union J. Rival BBC stars included Strictly's Deborah Meaden, looking stunning and slinky in a red floor-length frock – with her partner Robin Windsor. "I'm loving Strictly," Deborah told Best exclusively. "Poor Robin, I think he's exhausted from all the practise, I need," she laughed. Despite being a new dad, Brendan Cole was in no hurry to leave the party and headed off to the dance floor at gone midnight.
Elsewhere, EastEnders' Nitin Ganatra (Masood) and Jake Wood (Max) were joined by Corrie's Helen Worth (Gail Platt) Debbie Rush (Anna Windass), Ian Davies (Owen Armstrong) and Charlie Condou (Marcus Dent).
"I've never been before," Debbie told us, looking almost unrecognisably glamorous in a Fifties-style dress. David Walliams – who must be the hottest ticket in town – dashed from A Midsummer Night's Dream to dress as a bumblebee and hand an award to 91-year-old fundraiser Jean Bishop. The busy bee has now become the mascot for Age UK Hull. David made the audience roar with laughter when Jean asked if the award was for her and he quipped: "Well I hope so, otherwise I've dressed up like this for nothing!"
