CORRIE'S MARIA SHARES A STEAMY
KISS WITH GAY PAL MARCUS
Coronation Street's Maria Connor is set to share a steamy kiss with gay best friend Marcus Dent.
The brunette turns to nurse Marcus for support next week when she discovers a lump in her breast. And when Maria receives her test results on Friday, the emotional hairdresser thanks Marcus, played by Charlie Condou, for being such a good friend. But as the pair get close they unexpectedly end up kissing — only to be interrupted by Maria's boyfriend Jason Grimshaw knocking at the door. Maria (Samia Ghadie) has had feelings for flatmate Marcus for a while, but brushed them aside thinking he could never feel the same way about her. She has since started dating former flame Jason (Ryan Thomas) again and even asked him to move in with her. Marcus is currently involved with his work colleague Aiden Lester (Toby Sawyer) meaning things are bound to get very complicated.

CORRIE'S STEVE IN A 3/4 MONTY
Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson – who plays Steve McDonald on the ITV1 show in UK – was snapped and videoed when he performed at Manchester’s Hilton Hotel in a gag for a cancer charity fundraiser. The majority of pictures were tweeted by Simon Gregson’s co-star Alan Halsall – who plays mechanic Tyrone Dobbs at the "invisible" Mr Wynne’s Coronation Street garage.

"I'm not a massive believer in marriage - I think my own biography is testament to that. But I do think that love is the same for everyone and I do think that everyone should have the same rights. If you want to get married - whether you're gay, straight, transgender, whatever - you should definitely be able to do that. So, I'm out for marriage, are you?"
