A FINE ROMANCE

Coronation Street BFFs Maria Connor and Marcus Dent are about to become an item when they bond over the fact that Maria (Samia Ghadie) has a cancer scare. The storyline kicks off when Maria finds a lump in her breast, and immediately panics, and turns to Marcus (Charlie Condou) for advice. He of course does the right thing and gets her to see her GP immediately, who then refers a scared Maria to a specialist at the hospital…

But while all that’s going on, Marcus and Maria – who are keeping her cancer scare to themselves until they know more – become even closer than before, and when a cuddle takes a turn for the passionate, they end up kissing! Now of course, the big hoohar is that Marcus is gay, and up until now, there’s never been any question that that’s his sexual orientation. Maria however has harboured feelings for Marcus for months, even though she is of course currently dating Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).
