Gotye topped his
night winning record of the year. The
award was the third of the night for Gotye, real name Wally De Backer, at the
US's music industry celebration. Gotye received the top award from Prince,
wearing hood and sunglasses and carrying a sparkly silver cane, and the
Australian paid tribute to The Purple One's influence. “A little bit lost for words, to receive an
award from the man standing behind us with the cane,” Gotye said. “Many years
listening to this man's music growing up and a big reason I was inspired to
make music. Thank you.” Earlier Gotye picked up best pop duo performance with
Kiwi Kimbra for Somebody That I Used To Know and best alternative album for
Making Mirrors.

Today a brilliant gift box of cookies arrived from the UK.The contents not only looked gorgeous but they all arrived intact.
I hope you can imagine the surprised gasp of glee when I showed my wife the selection sent by Sarah of "Queen of Hearts!"
Indeed the cookies are fit for royalty. Sarah has also offered to be a sponsor of the Charlie Condou Confidential Blog. Now if I could only do them justice and explain how delicious they tasted. But don't just take my word for it order some yourself!
