THE CAST

GOLD’S DRAG RACE ANECDOTE
Christopher Golds
chrisgolds: @Charliecondou Saw at the drag race, you said something funny into a microphone, I laughed. My story ends there.
Charlie Condou
Charliecondou: @chrisgolds probably not your best anecdote
Christopher Golds
chrisgolds: @Charliecondou No probably not. I shall expand on it and potentially, one day, turn it into a movie. I'll get back to you. :-)

THE 2ND ANNUAL SOHO DRAG RACE & SOHO PINK SUNDAY

16/09/12: Old Compton Street was abuzz last Sunday afternoon with the clacking of heels, the whiff of Elnett and the whispers of fabulously catty backstabbing – nothing new there you may think. Only this time the most famous street in our legendary gay village was even more heaving with colour and rampant homosexuality, as scores of cabaret divas, cocks in frocks, professional trannies and amateur skirts with a surprise tottered round the Soho square mile, all to raise funds for the Albert Kennedy Trust, the charity that cares for homeless LGBT young people. With Corrie hunk Charlie Condou and the ever-fabulous Candy Slag in Drag hosting proceedings and a slew of top cabaret stars performing throughout the day, the laughs were as full-on as the outfits, and all of the ‘gurls’ who raced should be ridiculously proud of the money raised. The total amount at the time of going to press stands at a staggering £9,500! Congratulations to winner Olegs Pushkins, and a huge round of applause to Miss Summer Murders who raised an astounding £1,750 for the race. Meanwhile, G-A-Y Bar’s activities raised an impressive £3,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation! What a day for gay generosity.

FOR SOME PEOPLE THIS WILL BE A FANTASY HEADLINE!

MEN BEHAVING BADLY
Michael Wailes
michaelwailes: Rather bizarre piece by Charlie Condou in the Standard this evening..
Mark Goldby
markgoldbyart: Don’t forget Charlie says you are not a proper gay unless you have a incredibly materialistic attitude to having children.
Charlie Condou
Charliecondou: @michaelwailes are you sure you read my piece? Where did I suggest that?
Michael Wailes
michaelwailes: Don’t forget Charlie says you are not a proper gay unless you have a incredibly materialistic attitude to having children.
Mark Goldby
markgoldbyart: @michaelwailes anyone disagrees with his ideas on parenting he calls self hating gay. found myself agreeing with rupert everett yeh I KNOW.
Charlie Condou
Charliecondou: @markgoldbyart not anyone disagreeing, just Rupert Everett, who clearly is self hating
Mark Goldby
markgoldbyart: @Charliecondou i dont understand what makes a person self hating. Because they opt out of the gay community or have a differing opinion?
Charlie Condou
Charliecondou: @markgoldbyart fair point. I have no idea what he thinks about himself. And I welcome different opinions. But he offers no reason just a blanket statement. As usual.
Charlie Condou
Charliecondou: @markgoldbyart now maybe you can explain where I say anyone who disagrees with me is self-hating? Or is it just because of my weak writing?
Mark Goldby
markgoldbyart: @Charliecondou i think it has to do with feeling misrepresented by a group who do not share the same view. 'i am gay ergo i should support.'
Charlie Condou
Charliecondou: @markgoldbyart go and read it again. I'm talking about Everett specifically. Not anyone who disagrees
