It’s all getting shirty and flirty on the Street
THAT Todd has been nothing but trouble since returning home to the cobbles and his mother Eileen in Coronation Street (ITV1). Now he turns his attention to Marcus, who doesn’t know whether he’s Arthur or Martha when Todd uses the f-word. That’s f as in flirting. It all comes to a head, so to speak, as Eileen gathers together family and friends to celebrate her precious son’s birthday. Marcus is there and is particularly interested when Todd gets something off his chest. He decides to try on the shirt that Marcus’s ex, Sean, gives him as a present.
Todd strips off and makes sure that Marcus knows the chest-baring is for his benefit. Marcus struggles to resist Todd’s pecs appeal. Fortunately, Eileen pops her head round the door just as Todd and Marcus are leaning in for a kiss. She demands to know what Todd is up to (it’s obvious, Eileen – he wants to get into Marcus’ Y-fronts) and Todd, coming over all innocent, apologises to Marcus. Marcus has turned his back on Sean (not for the first time) for a problem named Maria and come over all bisexual. But having Todd attempt to seduce him was rather pleasant, he decides. All he has to do is decide which bus he’s boarding or which team he’s batting for (try England, they could do with some help).

Coronation Street star Charlie Condou has revealed that his alter-ego Marcus finds it hard to resist Todd.
Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) has returned to Weatherfield and may cause the end of Marcus’s relationship with Maria. Condou said, “Todd’s good-looking and very flirtatious. Marcus can't help but be attracted to him.” At his birthday dinner at the Bistro Todd strips to the waist to try on his new shirt from Sean. Charlie admitted that Marcus can't help but notice that Todd is in in great shape. Condou added: “Todd tells Marcus he stripped for his benefit and asks if he liked what he saw. “He really comes onto Marcus and then Todd leans in for a kiss." However, the pair are interrupted by Eileen, with Charlie admitting that lust has taken over and that Marcus was not thinking of Maria. Charlie said, "Eileen gets very angry and immediately wants to know what’s been going on. Marcus tells Eileen that Todd tried it on with him and Todd does eventually confess that it was he coming on to Marcus and not the other way round. Todd’s very good at being manipulative and he knows what he’s doing at this point.” Asked if Todd could break up Marcus and Maria, Condou replied: “He definitely could. He’s certainly going to cause big problems for them in the future because Todd’s like a dog with a bone and when he wants something he won't let go. He knows what he wants and he’s going to get it.“
