SOME SAD NEWS
Marcus (Charlie Condou) is doing his best to keep Sunita's children busy while her husband Dev is in hospital by her deathbed. The kids are blissfully unaware of how seriously injured Sunita is.
Karl just happens to be passing the lane where the children and Marcus are playing. He makes inquiries to see if there are more developments regarding Sunita's condition. There is no news so the kids and Marcus play for a while before making biscuits to take to hospital.
Later that day the kids and Marcus set off to take some biscuits to hospital.
They only take a few steps outdoors when Marcus gets a phone call from Dev.
The news is not good and for a moment Marcus wells up but then regains composure for the children's sake.
Marcus can't reveal any of the news to the children so they go inside to watch TV.
Marcus lets the kids know they can watch "Loose Women" on ITV.
"It's bound to keep their minds off their mum...!"
