December 20th 2013 marks the final day that the nation's favourite continuing drama.
Coronation Street filmed at its home on Quay Street, Manchester before moving to its new multi million pound home on Trafford Wharf Road.
Granada Studios on Quay Street has been the home of Coronation Street since its inception and first show on December 9th 1960 and has seen the show produce over 8000 episodes within its walls. The history that has taken place not only within Coronation Street but within the Granada Studios building is unparalleled with too many comedy and acting legends to mention gracing its corridors.

NB: I did not intentionally remove the colour from this photo or deliberately make the subject look like one of the living dead. This is obviously his natural pallor! But strangely enough, he doesn't seem to have a reflection in the mirrored wall directly behind the sofa.
