RECORD BREAKING FLOODS IN OZ
On 28th January 2013 severe squalls whipped up by ex-cyclone Oswald head slowly from Brisbane to Sydney striking at 1,500kms of coastline on the eastern seaboard of Australia. There are thousands evacuated in numerous towns which were hit by floods only a few years ago in 2011. The Brisbane area is declared a major disaster zone and so too many towns in far north Queensland. People are still jittery as their mettle is tested once again.
Some towns have had the highest flood levels ever recorded.
