where do I live?

I was asked by a few of my blog followers about living in Oz. They asked about my suburb and my town...so I made this quick picture layout.

Above: This is the main street of my suburb in Newcastle Oz it runs along the edge of the Pacific Ocean. The tennis courts and other sports facilities are on the right next to the ocean. If you continue north to the grove of Norfolk Island Pine trees it is where my first home was located. It was right on the beach front but after 6 years we moved two blocks back as the salt spray meant our house was always hard to keep clean, especially the windows. The house was 3 stories high.

Above: The beach north of home where they filmed Mad Max and Star Wars sequences (where they needed a sand dune or desert looking backdrop). Along the beach, which is 45km of white sand, you come to vineyards and tourist attractions in the town of Port Stephens.

Above: This is a recent newspaper picture of Newcastle on the east coast of Oz. My suburb is primarily a peninsula town surrounded by the Pacific Ocean at the front and a harbour at the rear. I have lived here in sub-tropical bliss for about 30 years.
