THE WOLVIS FAMILY
W/ CHARLIE CONDOU &
HONEY HAZEL
Back in August 2013, I asked for help from the CCC blog followers in finding the videos or DVDs of The Wolvis Family - for a fan called @wrenfoe - not realising that Honey Hazel one of the show's stars would be able to help.
Honey Hazel Showreel 2013
The Wolvis Family was a six-part drama that was released in 1991. No vision is currently available on YouTube but yesterday Honey sent a link to her showreel which contained a small fraction of the show and she was able to speak on Twitter to the fan seeking the DVDs.
HoneyHazel_: @Confidential_CC @Charliecondou @Wrenfoe Good news I do have some vision from the show. There is a little clip with Charlie.
Confidential_CC: @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou Great news for @Wrenfoe he's been searching for an eternity I can see him possibly fainting at the news x
HoneyHazel_: @Confidential_CC @Charliecondou @Wrenfoe I chose a small clip from 6 hours of BBC episodes for showreel #epic
Confidential_CC: @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou I bet @Wrenfoe will faint when he hears the good news!
Wrenfoe: @Confidential_CC @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou It's true. I'm in the process of fainting as I type! :D
Confidential_CC: @Wrenfoe @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou mop to aisle 5 x
Wrenfoe: @Confidential_CC @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou lol
Confidential_CC: @Wrenfoe @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou I'll leave it in your hands to negotiate now.... #myjobhereisdone
Wrenfoe: @Confidential_CC @HoneyHazel_ @Charliecondou Cheers, matey :D

Clare Balding OBE and Lord Browne of Madingley become new patrons of diversity role models
Clare Balding OBE, one of the country’s best known television presenters, and Lord Browne of Madingley, the former Chief Executive of BP, are unveiled today as the new patrons of anti-bullying charity, Diversity Role Models. They join eleven other patrons – including Paralympics 2012 star, Claire Harvey; former NBA basketball player, John Amaechi OBE; actor, Charlie Condou; rugby player, Gareth Thomas; and singer, Alison Moyet – in taking a bold stand with the charity created to stamp out homophobic bullying by educating school children of all ages about diversity. On Thursday 24 October 2013, the charity will host its annual fundraising Carnival and auction at CafĂ© de Paris, in London, with headline acts including Jimmy Somerville and Britain’s Got Talent’s Glambassadors and an auction of major prizes conducted by Christopher Biggins. Last year’s event featured a wealth of celebrity guests and exciting acts – including comedian and presenter Sue Perkins and DJ Boy George – and raised over £76,000, which went towards tackling homophobic bullying in schools.

More votes for gay marriage in Australian Parliament despite Abbott win
There will be more supporters of marriage equality in the next Australian Parliament despite a win by marriage equality opponent and Catholic conservative Tony Abbott
09 SEPTEMBER 2013 BY ANDREW POTTS

As the results of Australia’s preferential system of voting continue to be calculated it appears that there will be more votes in the new Australian Parliament for same-sex marriage than ever before. Australian election rules allow people to mark candidates in their preferred order to win so that if a person’s most preferred candidate does not get enough votes to win office, their vote then flows to the next preferred candidate and so on. The system protects voting for third party candidates as opposed to the ‘first-past-the-post’ system used in many parts of the world where voting for a third party candidate effectively makes it more likely that a person’s least preferred candidate will win. As of today the ABC public broadcasting network is predicting 57 Labor MPs in the Australian House of Representative, one Greens party MPs and 89 Liberal National Coalition MPs. These will be joined by Green leaning independent Andrew Wilkie, Katter Australia Party leader Bob Katter, Palmer United Australia Party leader Clive Palmer. It will take days to work out the final composition of the Australian Senate but it is clear Liberal-National Coalition leader Tony Abbott will not have a majority and will have to negotiate with Labor or the minor parties to pass legislation following the sitting of new senators in July next year. In the meantime Abbott will have to negotiate with a Labor and Greens majority – and either party may put pressure on Abbott to allow a free vote in the Australian Parliament on same-sex marriage. It is likely that Palmer United senators will be elected to the senate and that party has given its lawmakers a conscience vote on same-sex marriage. The Australian Sports Party, Australian Motorist Party and Liberal Democrats are each likely to elect a senator through arcane preference deals but only the Liberal Democrats are declared supporters of same-sex marriage. The pro-same-sex marriage Greens appear to have increased their numbers in the Senate from nine to ten. According to marriage equality advocates, Saturday's election has seen the number of federal MPs in support of the reform increase, with one third of the Australian House of Representatives' 150 members now on the record as supporters, with many more still undeclared in their positions. Australian Marriage Equality national director Rodney Croome said the election had been a vindication for Liberal-National Coalition MPs who supported same-sex marriage. ‘All the sitting Coalition MPs who said they support marriage equality were returned,’ Croome said. ‘Thanks to [outgoing Labor leader Kevin] Rudd's strong support for marriage equality a swath of pro-equality Labor candidates were elected or re-elected despite the trend against the ALP and despite strident anti-gay campaigns against them. In the Lower house the number of declared supporters has increased from 42 to a likely 50, with more expected. We are also pleased to the election of pro-equality Green and independent representatives in both houses. ‘We're hopeful of assembling a majority in the Senate and take heart that the micro-parties that campaigned hardest against marriage equality will not be represented there. The significance of the increase in supportive MPs is that marriage equality will be achieved not by any one party but by a cross-party conscience vote in which the number of pro-equality MPs is all-important.’ Croome said Australian Marriage Equality is ready to work with supporters in all parties to move the issue forward. ‘We will seek to bring supportive MPs together through a cross-party working group similar to the one successfully moving the issue forward in the NSW parliament,’ Croome said. ‘We will also be working with supporters within the Coalition to map a path towards a conscience vote, and to lobby newly-elected Coalition MPs who have yet to declare their position.’ Same-sex marriage supporters were elected despite a smear campaign against them alleging that legalizing same-sex marriage would lead to gay sex education for very young children.

Corrie star Charlie Condou makes cheeky gag about Michelle Keegan as he collects her TV Choice award
Soap favourite drew giggles from audience as he jokes about absent winner Michelle: 'She's playing at home with her ring'

Cheeky Coronation Street favourite Charlie Condou reduced the star-studded audience at last night's TV Choice awards to giggles after he made a saucy quip about Best Soap Actress winner Michelle Keegan. Charlie - who plays Marcus Dent in the ITV soap - collected newly-engaged Michelle's gong on her behalf at the London do, with the 26-year-old Tina McIntyre star remaining up north for filming. Punning somewhat rudely on Michelle's new relationship with Mark Wright, Charlie joked that she was 'at home playing with her ring'. The 40-year-old later tweeted a pic of himself smooching with the actress' new accolade, with Michelle replying that she heard that he had been "amazing up there". "I was," he replied, adding: "though I'm not sure my comment about you being at home playing with your ring went down well". Despite not appearing in person, Michelle also thanked her fans on Twitter, saying that she was "absolutely over the moon".
