MARCUS LOVES HIS MEAT

(AN INNUENDO LADEN PARODY OF A CORRIE EPISODE)

Scene 1:

Early in the morning at Maria's flat. Maria and Marcus are discussing their new-found situation with Maria's brother, Kirk. Marcus is sporting a bruised lip, that was caused by Maria's ex-boyfriend Jason, the night before in a bar brawl. 

 Kirk to Marcus [soothingly]: Marcus would you like me to put a big piece of meat on that bruise?

Maria to Kirk [hesitantly]: No Kirk, Marcus is  meat-free now!

 Kirk to Marcus [bewildered]: But Marcus, I thought you were definitely . . . you know, one of them meat eaters?

Marcus to Maria [confused]: Oh Maria, if Kirk can't understand this, how will any of the others get their heads around it? 

Oh, Maria I am so confused!

Let's go have breakfast . . . and talk this over in a very public place . . .

Scene 2: 

Later that morning at the Corrie café with Roy

Roy to Marcus [sheepishly]: Marcus, umm . . . tell me . . . do you still like. . . umm . . . erm . . . my sausage?

Maria to Roy [indignantly]: We are a couple now Roy . . . just like every other couple and we love each other very much, awlright!
Marcus is no longer interested in your sausage!
We are in love and it doesn't matter what people say or think!
Marcus has given up his former ways!
 

 Roy to Maria [matter of factly]: Erm . . . I am only asking this because I have changed to a new sausage suppler!

Maria to Marcus [in quiet desperation]: Oh my God!

Do I feel like a fool?

And by the way Marcus, 

DO YOU STILL CRAVE THE OCCASIONAL SAUSAGE?

 

Marcus to Maria [apologetically]: Maria, I like meat!
What can I say?
Once you've had black (pudding), it's hard going back...
But I'll try to be good, honestly!

Scene 3: 
Eileen and Sean arrive at the café

 

Eileen to Marcus [vehemently]: Marcus you know you are a meat eater!
You have always been a meat eater!
You can't change overnight . . .

Sean to Marcus [simpering]: Oh Marcus . . . I thought you fancied me?

Eileen to Sean [imposingly]: Give it a rest Sean!
Absolutely NO ONE fancies mutton dressed as lamb!

Eileen [close-up of Eileen's face as she lays a finger on one side - a voice over of her thoughts is heard]: Hmmm, no wonder Marcus turned!

Will this story end in tears?
