ITV soap took time out to nominate their unsung heroes for the prestigious
awards
Charlie Condou, 39,
and Toby Sawyer, 43, who play gay couple Marcus Dent and Aiden Lester, also
dropped by.
Charlie said: “I’m
nominating all the NHS’s paediatric specialist nurses. They do a wonderful job
and many families exist because of their fine work.”
Toby, brother of
regular Mirror writer Miranda, nominated St Nicholas’ Hospice in Bury St
Edmunds, Suffolk, and Sue Cleaver, 48, who is Eileen Grimshaw, put forward all
of Britain’s volunteers.
