Century Brasserie in Soho
-A blogvertisement for Charlie’s family-
Century, the Private Members Club (61-63 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W1D 6LQ) is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2011.
Pierre and Kathy Condou who conceived and created the club have given the club a full refurbishment and re-design as part of this year’s celebrations. Integral to the refurbishment is the new Century Brasserie, which will for the first time give the public the chance to experience one of Soho’s best kept secrets.
Head chef Graham Thompson has created a classic brasserie style menu based on simply prepared organic and GM free ingredients suitable for casual lunches or for more intimate dinners. Signature dishes will feature succulent grills of fish, fowl and rare breed meats from the wood burning oven. Ideally located for all West End theatres, the Noon to Midnight brasserie, will also have pre theatre prix-fixe menus, allowing ample time to access your seats.
Pierre Condou said, “Soho continues to be a fantastic and flourishing dining destination. Amongst all the frenetic bustle I am pleased to extend the opportunity for diners to experience Graham’s gutsy Brasserie menu, in the calm haven of Century, overlooking the leafy green of St Ann’s Church”. The Brasserie is accessed via a discreet doorway on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue. The restaurant will be relaxed and comfortable and has been simply refurbished to capitalize on the room’s high ceilings and natural light streaming in from the large windows.
From Monday 4th April 2011, the Brasserie will open its doors to the public. Century Club’s upper floors will remain strictly for members only and diners will only have access to the Brasserie on the first floor.
