Almost 8 million UK residents watch the Marcus & Maria kiss

Coronation Street was close to the 8 million mark on Wednesday evening (7 November 2012) with the latest developments in Maria and Marcus's storyline. Overnight figures show the Weatherfield soap pulled in 7.98m (36.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 adding 360k (1.6%) on +1.
