For months people have wondered why Corrie's Marcus (Charlie Condou) suddenly fell in love with Maria (Samia Ghadie). It was a whirlwind romance but there must have been an underlying reason...only nobody knew! A fan has found the answer on Grindr:

THEY'RE BAAAAAACK!
After a long absence Marcus and Maria returned to Corrie last night. They featured in both halves of the show.
In the first episode, Marcus takes little Liam to visit his mum Maria at the hair salon where she works.

Audrey, Maria's boss, asks Marcus if he can help with home repairs as her house needs some work done. She has a spot of damp. In the process of talking about repairs, Marcus asks Audrey if they could also have the flat they rent considered.
Later, at the Rovers, Audrey asks for a list of improvements and says she'll think about fixing their accommodation, along with fixing her own house.

In the second Corrie episode Audrey, Maria and Marcus are at the Rovers discussing a lengthy list of repairs needed for the flat above the salon....

Marcus has prepared a major list of improvements - basically he's asked for a whole new apartment! Maria is a little pursed of lip! She is concerned that Audrey will be put off by all the requests!
