Gay Parents/Families Wanted!

Exciting New UK Film - London

We're looking for a selection of gay parents with kids (young or grown up) to feature!

Square Peg Media have commissioned Violet Productions to make a new documentary film on Gay Parenting in the UK which is shooting this summer and is going to be shown worldwide at Gay Festivals in 2014. We will be working with a number of famous faces and major organisations and we’ll be holding special events alongside filming this Summer! Maybe you’re a gay parent yourself, or you come from a gay family – we’re looking for a selection of people from around the UK to chat with. We’ll choose a variety of families and people to film with – either at your homes or on location. We’d like to witness the challenges, the joys and the realities of gay families in 2013. We’ll only require people for a short time filming, possibly a few hours or maybe one/two days over the summer. We’re really excited about this film which is going to be shown all over the world and we’d love to hear from people who are interested in being involved.

Square Peg Media publish gay magazines G3 and Out in the City, are the organisers of the European Diversity Awards and the Alternative Parenting Show - with Charlie Condou and Sophie Ward as their ambassadors. The company is headed by Linda Riley and Sarah Garrett who are also parents to 6 year old twin girls. Violet Productions is headed up by Jay Hunt who worked in TV as a producer/director for 20 years before setting up her own company in 2008 using TV professionals to make high production value films for corporate clients and charity clients. Jay also works closely with Stonewall to produce videos for their campaigns, the latest a film on homophobic bullying.

SHY CANADIAN FAN

Diane, a Canadian Corrie fan, attended The British Isles Show in Toronto Ontario in March 2013. Charlie was there to represent Coronation Street. Diane spent time talking to Charlie as well as collecting his autograph. She has recently posted pictures from the event but has declined to appear in the pictures as she's too self-conscious!
