Corrie's Marcus chases Maria after she catches him in bed with Todd Grimshaw

CORONATION Street's Maria Connor is set to feel heartbreak again, after she catches boyfriend Marcus Dent in bed with Todd Grimshaw. In latest scenes from the ever-dramatic soap, Maria, who is played by Samia Ghadie, is seen running out of her new abode after finding her on-screen boyfriend, played by Charlie Coundou, in bed with another man. In shock at what she has just seen, the actress is spotted exiting the house and swiftly jumping into the arms of her boss, Audrey Roberts, who is waiting for her outside. However, after being caught in the act, a topless Marcus is then seen chasing after his girlfriend in a last-minute bid to explain the situation but by then, Maria has already driven away. The sonographer is left looking distraught in the middle of the street after he realises he's got come explaining to do. Marcus was initially introduced to the soap as a gay man in a relationship with Sean Tully, played by Antony Cotton. But after the pair split in 2012, Marcus found himself falling for Maria after weeks of flirting. However, it looks as though Maria's worst fears have come true after her boyfriend becomes tangled up in a love triangle as he rethinks his sexuality. And while it is not yet clear what the outcome will be between the trio, 40-year-old Charlie is set to leave the soap next summer. Speaking about his exit, the star said: "I've had a fantastic time at Corrie but feel it's time to move on." "I was only meant to return for three months and ended up staying for three years." He added to the Sun newspaper: "The producers have been really supportive and are leaving the door open for Marcus, which is great, and my exit will certainly be explosive." Samia Ghadie also opened up about her close friends departure, admitting she'll be sad to see him go. "Obviously I knew that Maria and Marcus wouldn't stay together, because Maria's love life never runs smoothly and Marcus is gay!" she revealed to Inside Soap: "I knew they were doomed, so I knew that me and Charlie wouldn't be working closely forever. But I was really sad to hear that he was going." Series Producer Stuart Blackburn added: "I will be incredibly sad to see Charlie go and we wish well for what I know will be an exciting future."

Looks like Maria Connor won't get to Christen her new abode, as boyfriend Marcus Dent already has, with Todd Grimshaw. Samia Ghadie, who plays Maria, was spotted running out a house on the Coronation Street set, with onscreen boyfriend Charlie Condou chasing after her, without his top on. But he's too late, as Maria jumps into the waiting car with Audrey Roberts (sue Nichols) in the driver's seat, and they speed off, leaving Marcus to wallow in his cheating shame. Marcus was initially introduced to the show as a gay sonographer who began a relationship with Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), but in his first stint on the show, it ends badly and he moves to London. Upon his return in 2011, the two gave their relationship another go. But after his split from Sean in 2012, Marcus was surprised to find himself falling for current partner Maria Connor - despite being openly gay. But now it looks like he's torn between his feelings for Maria and Todd, which has obviously led to an explosive love triangle storyline. Charlie is set to walk away from the cobbles of Coronation Street for the second time. The 40-year-old actor, will be making his final appearances in the award-winning ITV soap next summer after a three-year run. GRANDSON UPDATE

SirThomasWynne: Grandson is improving (still in oxygen crib), sadly our daughter is on bed rest with post-eclampsia.

Daughter was allowed to hold him for the first time since he arrived on the 24th Jan.

And today bub has had his cannula taken out so things are looking brighter. Granddaughter (bub's big sister), has been to see him a few times. With every visit our granddaughter serenades him with songs from her personal repertoire. The first song she chose was Happy Birthday.
