MARCUS & MARIA GO TO A GAY BAR

Marcus and Maria go to a gay bar at the insistence of Maria's brother Kirk who wants to shout them a nice night out. Kirk has been staying with Maria as a stop-gap but he's truly worn out his welcome!

Maria's brother also brings along Beth his live-in girlfriend. Within a few minutes of arrival, Beth reminisces about some gay people she knows and asks Marcus if he has ever dated some of them. Marcus is taken aback and politely says no but the seeds of doubt about Marcus's past start to etch into Maria's thoughts. She starts becoming paranoid about Marcus's past life. Maria starts wondering which men Marcus has been with! For Marcus, it's the first realisation that his past life is a major stumbling block.

 Kirk tries to lighten the mood with some cheap booze.

 Maria finally works herself into a frenzy of imagined jealousy and leaves Marcus to make his own way home.

Marcus consoles himself at the bar but wait! Who's that lurking in the shadows?

Sean creeps into view and almost accuses Marcus of cheating on Maria. Sean is after all a none-too-bright seamstress and always thinks everything is about him - even this situation!

 

 Marcus explains to Sean that he really loves Maria and that he needs to jettison his past somehow.

 Marcus also tells Sean to move on and points out a few other men he may have a chance with if he plays his cards right.

 A quick shake of the hand and it's sayonara Sean!

 Marcus explains to Maria that he comes with baggage but hopes they can move forward together. He fully discloses to Maria about how he met Sean at the bar and told him to move on.

Right on cue in comes Kirk and Beth. Marcus and Maria want their own space so it's time to have "that chat".

It takes a while to convince Kirk and Beth to move out but at last they get the hint!

 Maria looks lovingly into Marcus's eyes - "My hero!"

On Friday 8th Feb UK Charlie Condou was expecting to have a nice night at home watching and responding to fans about his Corrie ep. All was well until a troll attacked. Not only did the vitriol get directed at Charlie but at me and many others. Charlie's acting friends and numerous Corrie fans responded to the troll but they also copped abuse. I hope Twitter have removed this man's two accounts by now.
